This would be my first con in which I ACTUALLY attended all three days. It would also be the con where I began making more friends and doing more things. I began the con as Kaoru. The line for badges was so long that the top of my head got sunburned when the line was outside XP Then I sat around and waited for my partner at the time and the friends coming with him. I got there in the middle of the afternoon. They got there in the early evening, so most of the day was wasted. I went around and got some pictures while I waited. Sadly, by the time they got their badges, none of them wanted to cosplay, which meant no Kenshin to my Kaoru.
Due to not having a hotel room, we had to commute back and forth, Battousai and I staying with She, while Wufei and Shaman when back to their homes. Then I started Saturday in Sango. Even though I wanted to cosplay with my partner, I was dead set on what I wanted to wear for the busiest day of the con. Went around and did a lot of things I'd never done before, like panels and video rooms. It was so exciting being there for everything that I knew right then and there that I wanted to continue attending the whole weekend for every con I could manage. That day was when I met some of the people that are my friends now, whether we actually stopped and chatted or if we merely met in passing. but it was also my first tie having con drama, as my partner was being an insufferable prick for a vast majority of the day. We ended up all leaving early because he was having a tantrum like a toddler. Sunday was pretty quiet and mediocre. We perused the DR, took pictures and people watched for the most part. The con ended with us all watching Tsubasa in one of the video rooms before Shaman decided it was time for her to take us all home. My first time having con depression and con plague, it sucked. But I knew I wanted to do it all over again next year.
